do these spool on under or top of the winch, meaning the cable comes off the drum at the bottom or the top , my 24v asin winch has always been spooling off the top since i brought it that was the way it was.???

What was starting to play up? I have had mine in pieces recentlly as have Bruce and Jared, seems the tolerances in there can be a little too fine!

my winch did , was on the 3rd winch in the chasm, thinking it might be solonoids?? they were just clicking, but was told it was cause my winch was spooling off the top and going against the brake?? and getting hot

Yes they run off the top, maybe you could borrow a solenoid pack to test it?
