Was Bill's Easter trip, now Al and Tim's Central Trip
Just a point of interest there, before this becomes a thread jack, a LWB safari is a mere 750mm longer than a SWB, the same approach and departure angles/issues and just a slightly decreased ramp over angle and a shit load more useable space inside.
I quite often wish i had got the LWB high roof modle instead!!!!!

One more vehicle confirmed, a bloke from Brooklands who I have been out with before, he has a diff locked 70 series swb cruiser so will fit in well
he will be staying in his poptop, so for anyone else thinking of coming on this trip it's going to be a beaut and there's still about 5 beds left inside for $10 per night per person
confirmed vehicles total=9 and counting

Well the missus aint coming anymore she has to work.
I'm thinking of doing 3 of the 4 days 4wheeling and watching the warbirds for one of those as I have never seen them and hear its good.
I guess Adam we may be sharing a room again which leaves another room Tim.

Wife and kiddy-winkle are thinking of coming assuming the accommodation is up to speed and shes not the only beer-opener-and-passer-outer going
(Oh and I am sooo gonna pay for that... she reads more of this forum than I realise just to see if I say things like that
)
What other wifes/gf's are going? And any kids? Kev, you taking Elena and her indoors?
Mine loves 4WDing as a family activity, but gets very easily bored and grumpy when several guys stand around a stuck 4WD drinking beer and bullsh%ting about how THEY would never have got stuck in such a rediculous spot and trying to work out how in hell the trucks going to get out

Hi all, at this stage we are full up for the Easter trip
at least 10 trucks confirmed
I am sorry to anyone else interested but accomodation is pretty much full and anymore vehicles than that will ruin the trip, so unless we have some casualties the trip is full.
Accomodation is as follows:
Inside bunk room;
Mike + 2 passengers
Adam
Steve + family
Inside flat;
Al + family
Outside in tents and caravans;
Me + family
Kevin + family
Robbie A + wife
Alistair D + family
Marty + family
Rob + Chris E
Day tripper = Bill
Hope i've got everyone covered
If you can't make it please let me know so othes could be invited

Geeeees, I get the point Mike
Thought Saturday could be the hard day and do some tracks none of us has done. Thought we should do Serpentine on Friday to ease the women into it because I don't know what Saturday will hold, that will make sunday a chill out easy day to get them back on side for monday, make it a big long 4wheeling day. Wouldn't mind going sth to nth and up the staircase and down for dinner in the bannockburn pub maybe. All by dirt/mud/rock off course, IE: no tarseal.

rain, hail, sleet or snow, we go!
Thought I would fire this thread back up as it is only about 3 weeks till easter. Looks like there are two bunk beds still going so if there is anyone out there keen, then I'm sure we can fit you in. Been talking with cromcruiser and there is about 2 foot of snow on the range, hope it stays that way
Thought one night we could have a BBQ as I'm taking a trailer full of shit, might as well throw on the BBQ. I'll take yours too Tim. Any thoughts on what night. Also are most people thinking of arriving on thursday, an if so good night for a BBQ, to get to know everyone as there are some new faces to the group.

hmm bbq but dont know if I trust Al's cooking :fire:
Will be arriving on the thursday as well. Arriving chch wed night and heading down thursday day. what time are you going down?
Might just drive down with the SAT's on. Went to taupo with them on and they seemed to drive ok and I figure I wont wear them out before I get sick of them and want to goto 33's anyway
Are you opening it up to another vehicle or just passengers? we wouldnt want to get to many more vehicles as we will be waiting for long enough for U571 to get through the obstacles as it is

I'd say this thread is cranking back up
My thoughts on the BBQ would be Sat night (weather forecast dependant), cos some aren't going out on the Sunday
Me i'm going every bloody day
I don't mind cooking the bbq with Al
but can't cook well without copious amounts of beer
What about a fire

Yeah, Yeah Mike
Sat for BBQ OK. My thoughts on trucks vs Bods was one more truck won't hurt, or if there passengers, then fill those beds. Steve, you need a hand
And as for the fire, where's the psycho coro fans
And Mike, feel free to cook, I can easily sit back and watch, but seeing what you eat when away, I'll gladly cook.
