Gidday fellow Bush bashers..
I've been looking at the Aussie Locker..it's like the detroit locker/lockrite..but reading the reviews and reading the feedback..it rates quite highly..No horse power limit and No tire size limt also..garranteed for 2 years of just about any kind of abuse you can thro at it..I've emailed them for a price to NZ and another thing is these are really easy to fit..anyone had/heard/seen one in action..? and can varify it's claims..?this will be going into my Lex Bj70 ..lsd into the front and Aus locker in rear..(provided it's reasonably priced..which by all accounts so far are..might get 2.. )just another option for youáll..cheerz

Hi there, I got mine from Maquarie 4x4 in sydney,$990 per locker

When was that? I'm over in Melbourne now & then for work & I priced up ARB lockers at a couple of places there a few months back & they were exactly the same price as they are here once the currency was converted. Funny that cheapest way to get an airlocker is to have the thing shipped from Oz to USA then back to NZ, probably via Oz!.

Having looked at the guts of both I'm leaning towards getting a TJM for the rear when I swap in the Nissan diffs, the actuators seem a bit more reliable & easier to service, Klem's had a good run out of his in the #55 winch truck.

who sells the TJM's? I tryed looking for them and had no joy, TJM did not even bother to reply to my email....

fully equipped, i have arb's at the moment and when i change diffs i will also be going to tjm lockers like clint

from the people i know using them they are a better design, not nesecerially better just a bit easier to use, i havent had a look at one yet, just going on what my mates have said, even if they were a bit more expensive i would probably still go to them

I bought mine about march last year ARB aus had a deal on where you bought 1 locker you got the little air compressor free and if you bought 2 you got the bigger compressor free- I also tried a couple of different arb shops and there was $300 aud per locker difference so it pays to shop around.
I looked at TJM lockers when i stil worked for Fullyequipped and while i saw some good points to there design there were also some negatives , which is the same as the arb - each have there pros and cons.
And you would be wanting to ring Fullyequipped tauranga for the best advice/deal on a TJM
We are also testing some chinese airlockers at the moment, which are actually better that we expected and in the next few weeks were putting some in a 70 series powered by a 80 series turbo motor with some 35s and a few weekends of all the boys thrashing it so that I can give you a no B.S. evaluation of how good they actually are.
