Mark wrote:Saturday is going to be a day of play at Rallywoods. I guess there will be plenty of people coming in on Sat morning and setting up tents and all that sort of stuff. Then we'll break up the trucks into groups of similar capability and send them off to various parts of Rallywoods to have a play.

What are the arrangements for Saturday morning, is everyone driving into the Green Hut by themselves, or is there going to be a group meeting at the corner of Haywards Hill & Moonshine Road at a certain time. I am happy with either arrangement, just looking forward to meeting up with everybody else on Saturday.

Ok, here is some final information to keep you informed:

  • Almost everyone has been there before, so make your own way into Rallywoods.
  • If you do not know where to go then post here with a time you can meet at the corner of SH51 and Moonshine Rd and we will arrange someone to meet you there and bring you in.
  • Signs will be up with "ORE" and arrows indicating the way to Rallywoods from Moonshine Rd (bottom of Haywards Hill - Porirua side)
  • Please drive extremely carefully on Bulls Run Rd. We request that you stick to a speed limit of 40kmh on this road. The local motocross club put out signs stating 30kmh is the max for their members, so let's just keep it real. It is a very narrow and windy road and we don't want to hear of any incidents involving 4WD vehicles cutting corners or speeding!
  • The default PRS and AM CB channel will be 10, however other channels may be used when we split into groups. If you arrive late then please call on channel 10 before entering any tracks.
  • The generator will be turned off by 11pm each night. 24V lighting is available in the gazeebo for those wishing to stay up later.
  • Roast vegetables will be provided each night for a gold coin donation. These will be cooked in the fireplace in a bulk lot and you can help yourself. This means that you can just bring along some meat of your choice and have an awesome feed.
  • Bring cash with you for any expenses that may come up, such as extra fuel, food, beer, extra person overnight fees, etc.
  • BBQ's will be provided. If you have a spare gas bottle then bring it up.

Friday
Some people will be drifting in throughout the day - the gate will be unlocked. I will personally be heading up around mid afternoon and setting up my tent, sorting some stuff out and then chilling for the night.

Saturday
  • Aim to get to Rallywoods by 9-9:30 and get yourself set up. Groups will be dispatched as people are ready. Try not to be later than 10am as you will then become a straggler and a potential safety hazard if you start wandering into the tracks by yourself.
  • Driving/playing until mid afternoon (or whenever) and then a few events will take place.
  • A night drive will be run at 6pm. Anybody wishing to attend is required to meet the legal blood alcohol limit, which basically means that if we (the organisers) suspect that you have had too many drinks before hand you will not be allowed to drive. We will be watching

Sunday
  • Akatarawa Forest trip. Meet at bottom gate (big steel double gate across Rallywoods driveway entrance) by 9:15am. People staying at Rallywoods overnight will be leaving there by 9am to get down to gate. Anybody not there by 9:15am sharp will miss out as we will be leaving.
  • Prize giving will be held on Sunday evening. We have a number of prizes that have kindly been donated by Wellington Towbar Services and Naenae Tyre Court. These will be presented to unsuspecting victims based on the events of the previous days.

See you all there

Speaking of POS trucks  mines nearly sorted, the front lights and indicators have been soaking in the bath most of the day, getting a bottle brush from countdown in a sec and cleaning the stuck on mud INSIDE of them and putting back together tomorrow morning + fitting the 1 last flare and its ready to go back for its nice new WOF sticker. (all the other things on the big list have been done

Sorry, forgot to add that bit...

Monday will be a late rise for most people (probably) and then a general play around Rallywoods. Nothing too structured. There has also been talk about a few people heading off to Aotea Block or something like that on Monday avo. So it's pretty much going to be a "take it as it comes" day. You will have full access to Rallywoods though to do what you want.

Don't you mean MONDAY will be a late rise

If I can just add a few points to compliment Marks comments

We will have a morning brief at Rallywoods just to ensure all know whats going on and to go over some of the rules. Many of you have been there many times but as this is an event so some of the rules have changed a little. Your assistance and co-operation would be appreicated

I will bullet point them as best I can remember them

- Saftey, normal stuff
- Drinking and driving, it's a no no
- Don't go off driving by yourself
- listen to the Organisers, they will be identified on the day
- Obey convoy rules, (head lights on, use indicators, watch for the people in front and rear)
- The hanger is used for cooking, social activities and truck repairs, no camping in the hanger please or you will be asked to relocate.
- Stay off the ramp unless it is a organised event, we don't want accidents
- Itinerey is as follow's

0900hrs Brief, (Me repeating the above stuff mainly)
0901hrs driving brief
- One trip goes this way ->
- The other trip leaves soon after and goes that way <-
1200hrs approx, both trips return, have lunch and swap
1500hrs approx, everybody returns, and relaxes
1515hrs Alien shoot (little flying clay spaceships)
Ramp comp
Group photo's
Diff Dinga

1800hrs Night drive, not drink drivers

Sunday

0000hrs (Ooooh my fckin God it's early)
0745hrs Warning call
0900hrs Aka's
1700hrs approx drinks
1715hrs Presentations, prize giving, yes prizes!!
1715hrs more drinking

Monday

Get up, do stuff

As he is Master and Commander he made the excutive decision that we are doing it regardless if we want to or not.

Well, not really. One of the Shareholders decided that he would do it for those that wanted to. Hope he brings shit loads of ammo

Mark was trying to confirm numbers so there was enough stuff there, only 4-5 people responded so Mark didn't confirm, I was speaking to Paul and he has a limited amount of claybirds and ammo (250) I think so there should be enough for everyone there for 10 shots each?, Can't remember the pricing but BRING MONEY for this.

I am meeting BADNUZ at Moonshine & Haywards on SAT morning, will be there 9.00-9.30, If anyone else wants to meet there feel free, my no is 027 479 2417 .... just txt me if you are going or running late.

Initially Mark was talking around $1.00 a shot which is less than the cost of the ammo and little alien. Perhaps we should allow $2.00 a shot?

Ramp Test - Since I will not be available on Sat(work commitments) can I put my ramp results in now. They have all been written up in Sam PArkers mag, refer page 15 of October 2003. I indexed 1206, it was tested at Turoa's place on our CCVC ramp
