Runva winch what do you think of it
looking at buying a 9000lb runva winch just wanting to know who has one and what do you think about it does i preform good, may look at the 10-12000lb
Re: Runva winch what do you think of it
We've got a 9500lb runva on a pajero. Don't seem to have any problem with it. Not the fastest winch in the world but does everything a winch should do. We actually have 2 left that we have not used if you are interested in buying one. comes with wireless remote as well.
Re: Runva winch what do you think of it
There's a lot of us on here who run these winches after the bulk deal which was done through ORE and the NZ importer/dealer.
I don't think (at least I haven't heard) of anyone having any major problems with them. Anyone I have talked to who's got one is happy with them. So am I. Bought the 12000lbs model and for what I need it for it performs very well.

1992 Land Rover Discovery V8i, 5 speed, 12000lbs winch, Salisbury rear, 110 front, 65mm spring lift, dents in every panel, Rallywoods pinstriping.

What they said.
I have not had to use mine in anger, but it preformed very well indeed in the trial winching I did a couple of months ago.

Re: Runva winch what do you think of it
In my opinion you get what you pay for
I have a 10,000lb winch on the front of my 80 Series.
As the guys at the Rotorua Training day will vouch, they are not with out their short commings.
On the plus side, the coustomer support is second to non, and i had a replacement motor and gear box ready to go in by the end of the week
If you do alot of river work, and the winch is going to be submerged on a regular basis, i would steer clear
