Woodhill Forest 4wd Park

Post by Heath »

So who's been and used it?

Any info on setup, prices, etc?

Do you have to have a warranted and reg'd vehicle to play there?

Hi Mate i have had a couple of trips in there over the last month ,The guy who runs the park is in the process of making new tracks and marking and grading as they go .the cost at present is $30 per truck if your going in as part of a club, The offical opening is the end of June (i think) and on that day its a Jeep only day by invitation ,Once they get settled they will be running tag alongs and the park will be available for night runs the park covers over 2000 acres ,most of the park is what i would call shiney has a few interesting hill climbs and clay areas ,we are doing a recce over the long weekend to see if we can find some more challenging stuff i will post up the results on that Sunday ..Cheers

A couple of us spent the morning going around with the operator of this park this morning ,I must say what he is doing with the making of new tracks cutting back the scrub and crap is great,we drove tracks that would be suitable for a road going shiney right through to tracks that would challenge most well set up club trucks ,he had made some interesting mud areas and wants us to in his words really rack it up and make it more challengeing .Once the official oppening is over and a few more clubs get in there and make and use more tracks we will have a good all weather play area right on our door step .At this stage club runs cost $30 per truck and it will be available for night runs etc ...Steve

We only had 2 trucks. I think you could go in by yourself if you wanted. All you would have to do then is be realistic and stay on the safe track so you dont get stuck. There is heaps to do thats fun but safe.

If you want/need more just post up on forums when your going and i'm sure you can find a few more to tag along otherwise :)

Maybe we need a ORE trip in there?

Looks like Auckland's version of Rallywoods
I will have to pay a visit next time I go up that way,
I will catch up with the locals for moral support
