V cool!!
Ah memories of my old surf/first 4x4.........
I didn't have much $$ at the time, so i removed all the silencers from the exhaust system, fitted a coby style thing, and put the out let out the side just in front of the back wheel.
Performance improvement was awsome for the little expense and effort involved.
Not as good as the full 2.5 - 3" system, but works if your on a budget!!!!
I put longer shackles on mine, wound the T-Bars up, cut the bump stops and removed the front sway bar. That was all with in the first month of having it
I had 15 X 8 white spokes with the biggest off set i could get, eg landcruiser/safari offset and 31 X 10.5's.
Went bloody well untill you ran outa travel.
As for the boat anchor, i never had a problem with it. Got the head checked twice, and it was still good when i got rid of it. Bloody strange.
In the end the blow by was so much that it wouldn't turn off when really hot, and would start to run away on you down hill in low first.
I actually wonder if it was a leaking/dribbleing injector now i'm a bit more experienced with diesels.
I highly recommend a K&N or Unifilter for it, and dissconecting the crank case breather and exiting it under the vehicle.
Also keep a close eye on the rubber section from the air box lid to the pipe to the turbo. Seen heaps that are cracked and perished underneath where the stretch. I sleeved a section of old inner tube over mine
Umm, other than mentioning that your front mud flaps are best removed right now with tools rather than your big new front tyres, it looks good, and have fun!!!!
Pete.
