Thought i'd get off my lazy ass and write up what i'm doing as it might help some of you when you're locating parts etc. I'm installing onboard air in my 350 chev FJ40, its been a hell of an ordeal really trying to find bits and pieces but i'm almost there.
Lets start with a parts list:

40L Air Tank: $25 - trademe, came with check valve
Mounting hardware: $10 - smiths city
Nitto couplings & 3 way manifolds: $20 - trademe
Air filter/oiler: $40 - trademe
Hose etc: $40 - trademe
Pressure Switch: $20 trademe
Pop off valve: FREE
Ar hose push fit connectors: $20 trademe
Pipe tap: $29 - Blackoods Paykels 1/4" for taping holes in the back plates of the compressor to fit NITTO connectors
DPDT Swith + Fuse: $15 - Jaycar
Drive belt from power steering pump to compressor: $still to come.
I'll get some photos up soon, just thought i'd better start a thread before I forget to take pictures etc.

Re: Onboard Air Install
what kind of pressure switch did you buy? I am fitting up a system based on a dive bottle with a back up compressor and holding tank to run my air locker and tyre inflation until I find an apropriate aircon pump to install. (still humming and haring between adding an extra pump or an extra 12v altanator (my truck is 24volt) so may end up upgrading the electric air compressor but need a suitable pressure switch. cheers
If you follow me in the bush you must be mad cause I'm plain CRAZY !!!

Re: Onboard Air Install
G'day - a Fligor refrigeration switch, it was on trademe. Maximum is 100psi which is fine for what I need it for. You can buy then from Blackwoods Paykels or any air compressor shop. Mine turns on at 80, off at 100.
Re: Onboard Air Install
i used an arb air pressure switch
they cut off at 100psi and back in at 70psi
