Yep, we will leave the Belfats pub at 3pm, meet Rik about 3:30-3:45. Might skip the beer at Wiau, look at the timing. We can save more time by collecting firewood as we head down stream to the campsite. Hoping to be able to sleep under the stars. Tkaing a passenger with me, a mate from work, who has seen the photos of past trips and keen for a bit of excitment.

Sweet Matt. If anyone has PRS, channel 19, if any of you have spare can you please bring them for those that don't. I'm taking two 20 mtr ropes, the chainsaw plus my usual recovery gear, winch etc. If you don't have 20mtr ropes, bring a thick wooden stick so we can join a few togheter. One of my staff memebers lives out thatr way and says that the forecast is for rain, not sure how much, but I still think we will be fine. She definitely thought so anyway.
