touch wood

If you already know everything, DON'T ask bloody questions!!
Yep, wot he said
Yokohama Geolanders.
Seem pretty good for a general purpose mud tyre, if thats what you want.
You can't compare them with competition tyres like the mudzilla, centipede or boggers/swampers, but compared to the BFG mt, Kumho MT, Goodyear MTR Maxxis Buckshot Mudder and that kinda thing, they hold their ground pretty well it seems.
I like them over every tyre i have had so far, more aggresssive than the Kumho's, softer sidewalls than the BFG, more aggressive than the Goodyear MTR, and absolute leagues ahead of my last tyres, the Maxxis things. Yuk.
All depends what you want to do on em.
I like to put them on before i leave home for a trip, so arriving at the start of the track with some tread left on the tyres is more important to me than have the most aggressive balls to the wall tyres you can get your hands on. Others have the cash to buy a new set of these super aggressive tyres every 5 or 10,000k's, and those that don't have to take a trailer every where with them and swap em over at the start of the track, and again before heading home.
The Geolanders are holding up well to the road use to and from tracks.
Hope that helps a little. Tyres are always a cross between a gamble and a compromise.
Pete.

Re: size
PBL wrote:great looking nissanwhat size are your tyres and what lift have you given your truck
Tyres are 33 X 12.5 R15.
The lift, well thats a funny story.
The new springs were only supposed to lift it 50mm, so i bought the cheapest 50mm exented travel shocks i could find. The shocks were 50mm longer than the standard ones, but still over 50mm to short to match the springs.
All up, it raised the rear of the vehicle 125mm and the 114mm.

Not that i am aware of, 4x4Concepts/Swages Engineeering (the guys that run the cut down yellow patrol with the supercharged 350 chev seen in a few of the winch challenge events) sorted out what i needed based on the information i supplied them.
The rears are for load carrying, cause i always have heaps of crap with me when i go anywhere, and the fronts were heavy duty for winch and bull bar, but i have since gone to standard rate fronts, 50mm raised with coils spacers to get some flex back in the front end.
I guess, with out the extra load all the time it sits higher in the rear than it should, but did sit level with the origional heavy duty fronts, as i have no proper bull bar either, just the PTO winch and 60m of cable.
Dunno, but i'm not complaining, i'm gonna try fo 35's with out a Body lift in the near future and see what happens.
