Muriwai Beach clean -up

Post by PeterVahry »

A beach clean-up at Muriwai is planned for 15 June from 11.00am to 3.00pm. The meeting place is on Coast Road at Muriwai and from 3.00pm there will be barbecue.

With the present interest in the vehicle use of Muriwai, it is possible that there will be media interest so a good turn-out of four wheelers and families would look good.

Hi Rohan, unfortunately it would be unwise to bring non road legal vehicles to this clean up as it is anticipated that there will be some interest in what vehicles turn up. Please thank them for offering.

Regards
Peter

Really really good turnout. Lots of people helping, surprised the organisers as well.

Picked up a lot of rubbish, including a burried remains of a car that was safely removed from the beach (after a lot of fun).

Thanks TJ, it was a great turnout by the 4x4 clubs and greatly appreciated. I'm working on some words and pics for the local paper.

I'll have to figure out how to post photos on here!

Resize them to 800x600, upload them to a photobucket account, then copy the IMG code by clicking on the words "IMG Code" :) this will atumatically copy the correct code to paste into your post, easy as pie
