Re: Cheap Safari WTD
wouldnt need much more to buy mine....

Re: Cheap Safari WTD
I've told him to have a look at it, he thinks it will stretch him a little thin in the money dept once he gets the difflock etc working, but I will let you know if he changes his mind.

He will be lucky to get anything for that money that doesn't need something fixing on it. With a winch and diff lock already fitted this truck would be a good buy. He doesn't need to get the diff lock working until he can afford to. Just my 2c worth.
Re: Cheap Safari WTD
I found a 88 for $3000 last week for the uncle up in Auckland, runs well, new reg/wof, 212km no problems at all.
For the mate its the fact the safari may need repairs before it can get a warrant which is due soon, as is reg, and the reason the winch and difflock don't work are as yet unknown.
If he had $5500, then I would tell him to buy it, but theres too many unknowns for him, in fact, if I had that much, I'd buy it first, as I'm still looking for a hack at the moment.
