***5.7 litre LS1 extractors $1 RES SOLD***

Post by petefj40 »

These extractors where professionally fabricated to fit an LS1 5.7 litre Holden motor which was planted in a 81 FJ40 Toyota Landcruiser. While they performed perfectly. Once I changed the sump to one that had the drop at the back, instead of the front (to suit the front diff clearance) it changed the oil filter location. The oil filter ended up being close to the exractors. So a new set had to be made.
That's the reason for sale.
Diameter is 41mm.

Not that the following comment will reflect the sale price. But i paid $1800 to get these headers made up.

I will be putting more detailed pictures up shortly.

It's listed on Trade Me.

No.

You mean, are they tuned lengths? I had this debate with the fabricator. He's made headers for Ozzy V8 super cars. He made the replacement headers now on my 40. I asked for pipes to be tuned lengths. He was adamant that different lengths made little to no difference to performance at all. (I must say. I was skeptic at first. But this guy knows his stuff. They perform better than the last set of headers I'm selling, no question) You can talk to him yourself if you disagree. His name is Hayden. He works at Thorpe Engineering in Christchurch. Their number is 03-3485725.

Oh well. I'm looking forward to using these Di-Filipo ones on the new LS2 in the Holden. I had them HPC coated inside n out. It's a heat resistant coating. Aparrently they don't dis colour like the chrome ones do and increase the airflow on the inside. 8)

Nup. The V8 super car ones aren't either.
Hayden who made my FJ40 headers used to make them for V8 super cars.
