just bought a nissan navara which has had mods done to motor intercooled top mount bigger exhaust turbo off a r32 so the mechanic recons boosting around 14.5 psi goes real well loses traction real easy if needed trucks auto driveing 31s
it seems to use a lot of gas around 12-14 litres per 100km what sort of figures do you guys get?no black smoke at all even under heavy acceleration.my manual terrano gets around 10l per 100km

That actually doesn't sound too bad really for boosting that much, i mean the air being forced in has to be equally proportioned with the fuel

terrano rear window regs are not the same...
the front ones are interchangable but the rears arnt.
im donig a electric window conversion on my d/c navara soon and i will be using some front regs.will need modfying but i think i can make it work.
as for a skyline turbo...id be keen to know more about it,i want to get abit more boost/performace out of mine
as for milage....original topic i was getting about 10l/100km on both my turbo and non turbo motor( replaced non turbo with turbo version)
Re: fuel economy figures from td27t navara
Do you get any boost when cruising at 100km/h?
A turbo that's too big won't be boosting often and will cost your engine efficiency.
A turbo makes a diesel drink less (if it's driven the same as a non turbo), but a turbo petrol always drinks more.

yea,i have boost at 100kmph.not sure how much, its been ages since ive driven it.
have got 225/50-17 tires on it which are apprently 1.3% bigger thena from factory so speedo should be damm near bang on.
havent really been able to compare the two.trubo motors got a bad injector leak so loosing diesel through that.cant really get a accurate milage comaprsion....althoguh driving style is the same....foot flat....go baby go

Any chance you can put up some pictures of the set-up and layout of the turbo and intercooler installations please?
Or if you cant post pictures email them to me please.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

yea i can do put pics on when i get a spare chance. at 100kmh it depends on how much my right foots down to how much boost i have a normaly aROUND 2-5PSI AT 100K.JUST GOT STANDARD ACUATOR FROM TERRANO TURBO FITTED SO IS CUTS OUT AT 8PSI NOT SO HARSH ON FUEL NOW
Re: fuel economy figures from td27t navara
Went to rotorua swap meet today....my boost is about 5psi on 100kmph on the flat....uphill is obviously more.
am getting a max of 10psi,havnt modified actuator.only has a pod filter for intake and a free flowing 2.5 inch exhuast with a sinlge coby muffler on it.
as for milage i got from te awamutu to rotorua and back on about half a tank.
