Yea

Went to go back and edit into the auction 'Must pick up' to find that someone in Whakatane had hit Buy Now.

I hope they are driving I'm sure as hell not mucking around with shipping for a measly $150.

How certain are you the rear diff has a lsd in it? The reason i ask is that lsd for these vehicles is extremely hard to come by. Have you had it working as a lsd properly before the front diff incident? These are the sailsbury type diffs the ruggers have are they not?

Be interesting to see what you are replacing it with!!

Dick.

Like I say, 90% - I've read on this forum I believe that if the diff code on your Toyota chassis ends in either a 3 or 5 then the diff is LSD, the rear code ends in a 5. Also looking at the diff itself you can see spiders gears but they are hidden in a casing, I originally wanted to weld them up and thought sweet I can just take the back plate off and weld from there but no can do.

EDIT: Just googled Salisbury and yup thats exactly what it looks like it is.

Replacements will be 60 series Landcruiser units, SPOA with a mechanical difflock in the rear and maybe down the line a lockright in the front.

Got 31x10.5 Simexs ready for it too :D

I Look forward to seeing your build up, with those diffs.

Is there any number on the sticker, in the position indicated below, on the rear diff?

Cheers.

There is no sticker on the back, I don't think there ever has been.
