quad bike?

Post by h8ruba »

hay all im looking at getting a 4x4 quad bike to tow the trailor around our farmlet and also to launch my dinghy off the beach. i will also be fitting a gun rack to it so i can take it out shooting.... what are my options??

i have been looking at king quads on trademe and also a polaris 2 stroke but tending to steer away as they are gutless at low revvs any1 got some ideas as to what would be my best option or if you have 1 for sale that would be even better :D

If its new you will get away with almost anything

But if its an older bike stick with Honda, they don't die easy. Yamaha also seem pretty good as they age.

I'm no expert, just a Honda owner that couldn't kill them easy. We use ours just for carting wood and picking up hedge trimmings and taking the sheep round for shearing and a bit of recreation, so as such we don't have an expensive bike at all.
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

yep trx 300 was a good bike, little old in tooth now, and diffs were always a bit soft.
ok if u can find a good one for a lifestyle block i suppose.
Or even ltf 300.
Def stay away from polaris or anything chinese.
