I've drilled into the cage before and didn't think it was that thin. Not sure of the grade. I'd say at least 2mm thick. But mild steel for sure. I've had the truck on it's roof though. No problems after.

thats good

took me a couple of looks and a few thoughts of WTF before it dawned on me

but alas it wasn't quite like that...............

I came into this series of S bend corners and had it set up perfectly and was sliding through the last corner when it just bit in and fell over before I even had a chance to realise it was happening.

check out my mate with his ciggy in his mouth and fuel pissing out of the fuel tank at his feet

Didn't that guy smell petrol skid? Mind you. When you smoke cigs (or pot) your sense of smell goes west.

yup, after about 5 or 6 looks and thinking WTF, I clicked on the red mist thing, hence the reply about how it happened,

no red mist involved, just racing and watching the temp gauge rising fast and realising theres only one or two laps left in the old girl before she overheats and also there was a competitor in front that I was gaining on and determined to catch.

red mist is a catch phrase to do with being angry and having red eyes and therefore you have trouble seeing through the red mist

someone correct me if I'm wrong

and here i was thinking the "red mist" was when you had what the hell moment, and booted it regardless of the obvious outcome, roll,s jumps, broken gear, and not to mention a "boy racer moment"

Yea what happens with me is same as pedro..... But I think your defination skid is correct!

Usually involves nearly getting up the 1st time, determination (red mist) sets in for the 2nd go!

Hey, I wonder if one of those new land anchors would of helped you out Matt? They seem like a good idea.

I have a land anchor, If my winch was going I would have been sweet. I'm going to look at a quicker/easier land anchor though

interested in a reveiw of them, any idea how they go with flex? are they soft enough (with no air in them) not to make a difference or do they hold it back a little?

Review? I guess some people on here would laugh you asking that. 'You gotta get it dirty first Pete?". I can laugh with them.. :D They have a good point. Everyone knows I hardly ever take out off road.

Yeah I'm interested. Tomorrow avo I'm off up to Hanmer to drop some tools off to some mates. They're out on their bikes. I was going to take my quad up n join them but I couldn't get baby sitters. So we're just going up for a drive n maybe some off roading.

The airbags are soft. And the inlet tube to inflate then have lots of travel. So I don't think they will limit the flex. (you gotta flex it 1st Pete)

I'll post you a review and pictures tomorrow or Tuesday night.
