Godley glacier

I have just done the trip up the godley river and the scenery is magnificent up there, unfortunately the track has been washed away and was unable to make it all the way to the glacier but got past the deer stalker assc hut and had the glacier in sight, The track Isn't too bad and a standard vehicle could make it to the wash out when driven with care, get off the track however and the going gets real rough with big rocks so watch your diff and axle clearance, there are some nice big boulders up there so should keep the rock crawler guys happy, It also gets really cold, when we went up in the morning some of puddles had ice over an inch thick on them
