chassis rust
hi all, just pulled off the bull bars for the landie and found that the rail behind both sides has rusted out right where the springs attach. thats the only place that I have found rust so far (other than the firewall). can I cut this out and weld another bit of box steel on or will I need to replace the whole rail ? i need to get it revinned what would be the best action to take ?
Re: chassis rust
does no one have any suggestions?? most unusual

Re: chassis rust
Okay I'll have ago.
The cost of certing and getting the welding done might be better spent on a new chassis. Maybe a later model one?
Just thoughts.

Re: chassis rust
Show us a pic or two if you can, might be able to give you a cost idea to do the welding
