12th/13th july

Post by new2zukes »

well thought id be the first one in this time as i have done most of the work i wanted to do today. list of things ive done.
wired up and installed an electric radiator fan
mounted pod filter
mounted cb radio
mounted winch
well this post wouldnt be the same without some photos so here they are:
the pod filter and cb all up nice and high as i have no windows to protect them from water/mud:)
Image

the electric radiator fan very close to the fan belt but wont hit it.
Image

the 2 switches to controle the winch and the fan the one on the right is for the winch and the one on the left the fan.
Image

now for the winch first pic is of how i bolted it to the chasi cross member.its not the greatest pic in the world.the whole in the bull bar is so i didnt have to use long bolts very cost effective really:)
Image

the next couple of pics are just from the front one before i painted one after and one with the grill on

Image

well thats all i did today so looking forward to seeing what everyone else did. cheers.

had to do the dreaded work thing yesterday morning and then sweet FA, till rugby time, damn boks.

woke up to a cracker day today so it was 3 hours on a waterblaster to transform my dirty 80.................

Image

into a super shiny sparkling clean 80.............

Image

taking a wee break right now before attacking the housework

and I even got to play in the mud...............

was attempting to move flatties girlfriends car off back lawn when the back decided it would slide down the hill and try to overtake the front, so some quick thinking and a lightening quick handbrake/throttle manouvere had it onto the driveway and out of harm.

explaining how her car got sideways in a little gap could of been fun.

Rained all day yesterday, so nothing.

Today, did the engine oil and filter change, front end greasing, power steering fluid change and tyre rotation on the Grand Cherokee. Couldn't change the diff oil as it needs synthetic 75W-140 (a bit picky I think) and the transfer case (Mopar only) - off to get them tomorrow. Replaced squeaky wipers on the TJ. No driving this weekend.

Saturday: replaced headlights and front body-mount bolts in one of the 'scuds.
Sunday: went for a drive up the Maungatapu with a couple of other 'zuks. I was a bit disappointed that daughter No.2 was too sick to come, so I used No.1 truck and the maiden voyage of the rebuilt truck will have to wait.

Good day though.
