winch for sale

Post by hosehustler »

Here's a pic of the winch one of my mates is selling, apparenty they retail at a local dismantling firm for $1700+GST=$1912.50
Apparently one of the best and strongest electric low mount winches you can buy.
It was a factory winch off a 80 series Toyota landcruiser and has never ever been used :!:
I have also added a short e-mail he sent me, any queries just ask
Image
His e-mail to me.........
Picture of winch, AI-1000, 9000 lb, the winch is actual manufactured by Aisin who make the Toyota free wheel hubs etc, as I said it is new, I plugged it in last week to make sure it went, the controller unit is still cable tied from factory.

The other cable coming from the winch is the factory heavy duty solenoid which goes to the battery, if you don't have that the switch gear gets a hard time so you need that cable.

Let me know if you know anyone who is keen.

Hi Bill,
here's the messge I got back from Paul

Frame number HDJ81 00557876
Model number KC-HDJ81V-RNPGW

I measured the bolt hole centres on the winch, they are 720mm, the bolt centres on the Prado chassis are 670mm, there is enough room on the base plate to redrill the holes to fit the Prado chassis

Hope this helps :!:

yep ill vouch for those winches i have one on the front of my ute it works when fully submerged and will still tow a house down i made a mout for my ute which did the job and just made another welded one weld not to pritty so toyota guru steve is gonna prittyfie it abit for me i paid 300 hundy for mine as the guy could not get it to work out of the buy and sell so obviously a bargain so this one sounds a bit pricey to me but dont worry to much about it fitting to the vehicle there is always a way my 2c worth

Just make sure you have the correct voltage on the winch to suit the truck

80 Series Cruisers are 12Volt aren't they?

Cheers
