chassis rust

Post by tracta »

hi all, just pulled off the bull bars for the landie and found that the rail behind both sides has rusted out right where the springs attach. thats the only place that I have found rust so far (other than the firewall). can I cut this out and weld another bit of box steel on or will I need to replace the whole rail ? i need to get it revinned what would be the best action to take ?

Okay I'll have ago.

The cost of certing and getting the welding done might be better spent on a new chassis. Maybe a later model one?

Just thoughts.
