there is a shut off valve on the injector pump it is either sticky or you have some thing back feeding the ign circuit. i had a cruiser that when the electric fans were running it took a few seconds for the motor to stop, the cause was the electric fans were generating enough power to keep the motor running,
just as a experiement turn on the heater fan and shut your motor off, then try it with the fan off

failnng that buggered if i know

cheers

As above diesels stop by stoping the fuel, so the fuel pump valve could be not closing fully, this could be through power back feeding or the stop valve is sticking part open. one way to test the feedback thing is start and stop the truck with the lights on, this should suck up any induced voltage, if that doesnt work some one may have better testing procedures.
