Selwyn river this sunday

Post by cornfarmer »

Am going for a blat up the Selwyn from State highway 1 this sunday. If anyones keen will meet at the State highway 1 bridge at 11am. Be warned there is some water in the river at the moment so a snorkel wouldn't be a bad idea. Should be a bit of mud about too.
See you there

Watch it there too, its pretty soft in the water in places.
I pulled two clowns out of there on Sunday, both had got stuck trying to get the other out, one in the water and one nearly in a rather deep hole.
Pulled the water one out after wrapping a snig chain around the tow bar to attach the snatch strap to, no hooks and a seized tow ball nut. The other was winched out, good old Chinese winches to the rescue. 8)
Then they took off and promptly flooded one of the trucks just a wee ways up stream, we left them to it.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.
