A good cockie/contractor mate who lets us plug all over his farm has blown the transmission on his favourite old '89 VX petrol. He needs to replace it right away and of course there are a heap of them on Trademe to choose from.
Just thought maybe someone on here has a goodie to sell, VX or even GX four door later than 1992, doesn't have to be mint but needs to be mechanically strong. He wants to go diesel now because he's sick of his farm petrol tank (600L) being raided almost every night. up to 200,000km is ok if it has service records. The bugger owns one of Taranaki's biggest dairy farms and could afford a new 470 Lexus but he doesn't want to trash a nice vehicle by using it daily like he does.
Any offers reply here or PM, no promises of course, but it helps if your price is realistic, maybe you'd trade the old buggered one for the parts in it but not necessary, I want it. cheers, Gordon

Hope your not going to put cruiser parts into your jeep

Re: Cruiser wanted urgently
I am selling mine. My GQ is replacing it as my daily driver once I get it back from the panel beater.
I haven't used it offroad. It has been my tow truck.

He can have it as soon as he likes.
Cheers
Jase.

No, I won't be downgrading the Jeep, they're for upgrading the rally truck, less than genius used hilux diffs and is now paying the price. Anyone have any 4.88 hilux diff heads in the meantime, we need some spares.

She's a goodie alright, but he really wants an 80 series - at least i think those bigger flash ones are 80 series and the newer ones are 100 series? 4.2 TD engine, all that. cheers and thanks, Gordon
Re: Cruiser wanted urgently
Expect to shell out a bit of coin for a good 80, 24valve ones are the ones to go for apparantly, remember something about them chewing big end bearings, some have an 8" front diff (this can break under some conditions eg recovering someone backwards hard ... something to do with the reverse cut of the gears

Thanks Jerry he's looking between 15 - 30k for his truck. I showed him a lifted one of Friday and he wanted to know "how much to get it back to normal?" so not much chance with either of these two sorry. Nice trucks though, if walking's your thing.
