Did an oil and filter change on the Terrano today, only to discover there is a tear in a CV boot. Looks like I have a job to do tomorrow when the rain stops.
I will also try to figure out how to install my new (2nd hand) Warn Hubs as well. :?
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

Tempted by the sunshine, did the transfer case oil change on the Grand Cherokee. Seeing sun was still visible, undid the front differential cover and drained the oil. Well, rain came!! But managed to put the cover back on and fill it up with correct oil while my legs were getting wet! I'll see how much sun can I get to do the rear differential tomorrow.

Not yet, will be nipping up front wheel bearings and replace a back wheel stud on the Whale tomorrow and then run it in for a warrant this week.
Hopefully in two weeks install the suspension lift and shocks, so should be moving up in the world then

yesterday I sorted out a couple of ulgy feeling uj's..... which (i think) brings me to the end of the project. Well, there's still the exhaust to abbreviate.... but aside from that its the end of the project..... [TUI AD HERE]

So, after the axles were done.............. pulled up on some rocks at a mates place and took a couple of snaps:

Went up the Selwyn with 4 wagons this arvo. Found some good mud and some holes that would eat a winch truck! Drove into one then took some evasive action. After a foot recce the hole was found to be about roof rack depth!

I've noticed recently that my cruiser shakes like silly when driving along over 80kph. I have had the hubs engaged lately as have not been on the road much so disengaged them and problem solved. Friday I came back from Rangiroa and took a diversion down the Ashley, put hubs in and went from west side of Rangiora to east side of Ashley. After the recent fresh there is a lot of soft ground, deeper water than expected and mus where it looks like sand :)

Since I only live 2kms from the river I drove home with hubs in like usual, the thing was shaking like crazy, could not get over 100kph at all. Had a brows underneith - front drive shaft had two bolts missing, on about to come out nad the other loose :) So fixed that this morning and

Also fitted my fire estinguisher that I bought a few weeks ago. If any one wants one Mega M10 have them on special at the moment. I'm sure they were $34 but they were convinced at the checkout that it was $23 so that suited me fine (they always have some messup with their pricing.)
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

Got stuck into the cruiser on Saturday and put my long anti inversion shackles back in (had to remove them for a WOF) and stage one of a major rewire, was pleasantly surprised to find a charge equaliser fitted hidden in the rear behind the trim, also found I have a heavy duty winch power supply back there too. hooked the new front locker up to the dive tank and then Sunday headed up to Woodhill to the Jeep park for a play with the guy's from Manukau Club, was not too bad, still not a fan of the surface up there and all the tracks are one way which was a bit of a bummer cause some of them would have been fun trying the other way to that marked. was still fun managed to get stuck twice in the play area's one was trying to get someone else out  really miss that pasengers side mirror managed to back into the hole I was going to be snatching him out of..... over all an enjoyable day made better by my company, took a 4x4 virgin out and popped her cherry had her screaming a few times which was fun. Now I just have to get the sand out of every where and repair the hole in my roof from a tree branch on a sidling, watch out any one going up there in a tall beast esp. if your roof is fibreglass.
If you follow me in the bush you must be mad cause I'm plain CRAZY !!!
