Jungle Trekker 2

Post by gary_in_nz »

Jungle Trekker 2 looking at these in this size 34/11.5-15 ($450), about the biggest they come in by the look of things.

How do these wear?? are they worth the extra coin above say some Silverstone MT-117 Xtreme 35/11.5-15 ($400)??

Just been having a browse round 4wdbits, will be up for some tyres before the year is out i think. I run a safari that has a 50/50 lift thats about to be turboed

None of those tyres will wear very well if your useing them on the road, expect them to be completely farked after about 15k. My extreme treckers have done about 9-10k and are well worn

I had JT2 34x11.5 before I went to MT117 and then to ET2 35x11.5.
JT2 can be a little bit dicy on sidlings but that is the only draw back I can think off. In real terms they are about the same size as the MT117's. On road they would be better than the MT117.
There biggest advantage is being non directional they suit general 4x4 better. Really good in swampy ground ie much better than the MT117 but then the MT117 is much better on hard wet surcfaces ie clay.
Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.

alright, that gives me some good info, cheers for that everyone!!

Up the coast here there is quite a lot of hard clay to drive so will think i will look for the silverstones, club up here likes to thrash the swampy areas too, but i dont really wanna fall off the track to get there.
