Where To Get Longer Brake Hoses.

Post by suzolla »

Hi, I am doing a spring lift on my 80 Series VX landcruiser with longer shock so more than likely will need to get longer front and rear brake hoses that go onto the diffs from the chassis.

Can anyone suggest a place in Hamilton that is reasonably priced and can do a quick turn around and good service.

Thanks
Tim

Apex is pretty quick, and do good work.

I did a 4" on mine and didn't lengthen the hoses, just relocated the brackets that hold the ends of the steel part of the line to give the rubber sections more length. Works a treat, and it passed its last WOF like that (ok, it failed as I forgot to put a clip into one of the brackets to hold the line inplace), but ws told what i had done was legal and safe.

Thanks for that Pete, Also thanks very much for bringing up the tank, hope the gas money was enough to cover the extra drag.
Thanks

I went to a brake place here in auckland and gave them the old lines and explained where I wanted extra length and they made them on the spot for me. Cost me $25 each though I think (did this on my old zuk and old hilux).
