If the only reason you want it is because of the rev counter, the 4cyl and 6cyl efi clusters appear to use the same tach.

There is a little potentiometer on the back of the cluster that allows the tach to be adjusted. I have used a 4 and a 6 cyl on my 1UZ Surf and they both worked fine after beig adjusted.

The tach requires a high input so I drove mine off the ignitor so my V8 actually appears as a 4cyl.

Cool, it's good to have a working dash.

The dash's are also in Hiace's and 2wd Lux's so you shouldn't have a problem finding one.

Let me know when you get it going... need to get mine in, have a v6 cluster and I'm hoping I can just change the circuit board at the back of mine to make it work...
