New to Forum

Post by mudplug »

Hi I am new to this forum but have been around the 4wd scene for some time. Most of the winch competition community will know me as I have been involved as a marshal and organiser since 2000. I am based in Auckland. My current vehicle is a Hilux double cab. In the past I have owned a 60 series and a FJ 40.

There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

Hi George
Its good to catch up with you again, suppose you remember me at the winch challenges. First one I was involved in was run by the 3 Jaffas at Lahar. Not sure what year or if you were involved then. The weather was real crap on the Sat, even marchalls had to winch their way out of some of the forest tracks. Then there was those events in Auckland and Thames area.

Still got my Nissan buts up for sale on Trademe................. and no Im not buying a Toyota

Hi Larry that’s when we first meet, We shared a bunkhouse down by the railway and I sure remember that time freezing on the side of Ruapehu in a blizzard, 2001 I think. Do you remember at one of the Denny’s towing a duny from Auckland to Neavesville? Hope to see you at one of the challenges up this way or better still you guys run one down your way and I can come down and watch
Hi skid. Not much good with photo’s and I haven’t found out how to post them yet. And who takes photos of their truck when they are behind the wheel; both my trucks are on the Auckland 4wd club web site. The 40ty when I owned it was a standard body shorty with a body lift ,tough dog springs on 35 in simexes, just like dozens of others
