Yeah the gearing is an issue. I have 4.5's with my 1UZFE and 33's and I would ideally like to go to 4.8's to get the best gearing with the V8.
If I went to 35's I would probably need 5.29's to have the best gearing. That sort of gearing, 33's and 4.8's or 35's and 5.29's seems to be close to factory with respect to revs etc.
I am sure you could get 35's to clear in the front if you wanted. A larger offset rim and some firewall reshaping should sort it.
Matt.

go for the 33's, it would be absolute shit on the road with 35's and your gearing. an realisticly thats where it spends most of its time. 4.8's are hard enough to find and i dont know if you can even get the 5.29s in ifs and if you could it then good luck getting some!!! you will def need new rims with smaller off set (is that right? the ones that stick out more any way) dont get the ones blair got they dont stick our far enough. for 33's you will need a body lift and might fit 35's depending on the brand (all measure different) but will most likely get some rubbing.
off road you will want a tyre that clears well cos you will hardly get out of first with the 33's. wot brands are you looking at? those perallis you have at the mo seem to be a good tyre, havnt heard andything bad about them yet.

Re: 33 or 35's
for future reference any body wanting to change ifs diff ratios, marlin crawler offer a range of ring and pinnion sets for both 8" rear and 7.5" front diffs from 4.55 to 5.29s for roughly $150us ( i think ), a good option for people who arent giving there truck death of road or see more on road use than off. www.marlincrawler.com
