i thought I'd wip the doors off and get the angle grider out and take the pointy bits off and dab some paint on would do the trick.
I don't think I should get to fussy though. it's sure to get some panel damage at the Shefield event.

at least with you soft top on your not going to damage your roof this time may scratch your roll cage though

I'm taking the doors off and putting the windscreen down. But it's sure to get a hammering. Just don't wanna twist the chassi.

Sorry for the attidude H2O.
You're right. The body does look wavy in that last pic. But the bodies pretty straight. it's the doors i'll have to work on.

I'm not to fussed about it. I like it a bit rough looking. If I ding it or scratch it won't bother me.
After a good look. You're right. The body is wavy.
I'll sort the bottom corners out then leave it.

Hey Pete try using the holes in the bottom of your number plate, you'll probably find it fits better.
But then I might have dodgey eyesight aye

Re: petefj40's never ending mods!
I'm almost embarrassed to tell you about the next mod going on the truck. Though it's only a small one. It'll make heaps of difference, at night time.
As I use my truck for shooting (not off as that's against the law) I want as many lights as possible. Though i have 6 on the roll cage, I can only use them when the top is off. And in this weather we're having it stays on. The two extra ones I already have on the front bull bar are good. But not good enough. So an extra set arrived at Ricks for me today. So that'll make a total, including the driving lights of 12. And yep. I have enough power to run em easily.
The new ones are Narva's H.I.D Extreme Halogen driving lamps. I went with the Pencil beam.
The following is what's written on the box.
It uses a GEN 5 ballast and a 35W D1 globe that is impervious to vibration. Has 3 times the light output and 5 times the life (3,000 hours) of a standard Halogen globe. Producing a brilliant white light, the D1 globe has faster ignition and warm up time than the old D2 types. D1 with it's "ready start" feature is ideal for driving light applications rapidly achieving a colour temperature of 4150øK which is close to daylight, reducing eye fatigue and increasing driver safety. (till you drive up to a big green road sign
) 'Extreme H.I.D' has been extensively tested in the Baja 1000 desert race by class winning competitors.
Here they are.

I went with all black. I didn't want the bling bits on em.

Now the problem is fitting them in the best place.

There's not enough room with the current bar setup the way it is. So off it comes. Corey is making up a new bar that this time, will lean forward, not back. The spots will fit behind them.

There ain't much room. But we'll make it fit and legal.
The bunnies and Hares won't know what hit them.

Re: petefj40's never ending mods!
Are they easily detachable coz they look a bit vulnerable out on the front corners like that? I'm not quite sure what sort of terain you drive through down there but I guess all those stray trollies around the supermarket carpark could do a bit of damage if you hit one
But in all seriousness they do look a bit vulnerable out on the front corners

You're right Sadam. They are vulnerable out there on the corners. And I have damaged some super market trollies.

skid.
"way to much"?
Yeah mate, that's the embarrassing part of the mod.
I'm to embarrassed to say.
But, there isn't anything out there that is better than these spots. You'd expect that, for the cost.
I might have been a big spoilt rich kid. But the money is going....fast.
But I say it's worth it!!

dam right, life is not a dress rehearsal. Go hard you big bad bunny killer you.
Your fold up ones on the roof bar do they have anything covering them when the are up? had some up on my roof but I keep smashing them on tree branches so have not added any to my current truck.
If you follow me in the bush you must be mad cause I'm plain CRAZY !!!

Damn straight pagar! There's no practice runs. This is it!
The ones that fold down on the roll cage don't have anything protecting them when they're up. Might be a good idea to put some protection on them. But when ever I go bush bashing they normally go down.
Come the Sheffield event. I'll take them off. That's a 2 minute job. The wiring loom to the spots has a trailer light plug fitting on it making it easy to take em off.
Re: petefj40's never ending mods!
It won't cause any cooling issues if you mount them in front of the radiator? When you get the new front bar made you might want to think about making it higher so if you roll the truck
the bar gets hit and not the bonnet and/or radiator support panel. Its a pity you can't ditch your factory headlights and mount the spots in there.

Its abit late to be scratching out the rego plate now aint it
How much room have you got at the back of the bonnet, below the windscreen? would the lights squeeze in there somewhere??

Good point re the heat issues. That's why I've been driving around with a cover over the bull bar simulating what the lights might do once they're mounted there. I have noticed a little temp difference. But generally the temp is ok.
Yep. The bull bar will be higher coz I'm bound to roll it again.

A bit late? The new plate has only been on a day H2O.
Back of the bonnet below the windscreen? Rick did talk about putting them there as that's where he has his on his Jeep. Hmmmm. When he put them there they did look a bit large. Would be a good place i guess. Might make it easy to have a handle on em to swivel them when spotting bunnies. You got me thinkin now.

3 things put me off getting them mounted there. One, it might make it hard to fold the windscreen down (I love having that down in the summer or spotting). Two, it might produce lots of glare off the bonnet and three. It doesn't look cool.
