Anyone fitted HiLux IFS front axle in a Vit/scudo??

Some info wanted please on fitting HiLux IFS front axle into a 1992 Escudo.

I found a link to a yankee forum with a build thread, but the guy never showed the finished job or said about any problems or running it etc. i will post the link when i find it.

anyone have any ideas??

I did think of doing this as an option but I cant as I have to keep the original axles etc.

yep thats the link, i knew it was pirate4x4 but i couldnt find the thread, cheers for finding it for me

the build ends a bit early though, dont you think?? no end result pics or write-up.

a few guys have posted threads asking how he went on with it, but had no replies. it looks like a good mod though.

Weemsy are you still looking for parts for the heater/air con thingee (sorry name illudes me)? I have one complete in my ute from an escudo destined for the tip, but if you want it I will 'rescue' it. I am happy to hang on to it for a while if delivery/pick up etc is a little difficult and you are interested.

I personally cant see the point in going to all that effort to still have IFS it would make more sense to just SAS it? OR buy my V6 front diff parts becuase im going to SAS mine

When I saw your ad for V6 bits I wondered if that was your plan. Jealousy is kicking in because my wife has now decided that the 5-Dr V6 should remain standard for duty as a 'family' car. Bugger!

Are you going Toyota axles? I was considering Danas before the kibosh got put on the project.
