TD42 Turbo manifold?

Post by doby »

Can anyone recomend someone in Auckland who could weld up an exhorst manifold with a T3 flange on it for a TD42? or dose anyone have a TD42 turbo manifold thay wish to part with? (I understand these are like rocking horse shit!) Was thinking of moderfying the standerd manifold but dont think that option will work any more.

Cheers for any help!

Top Gear Auto Tech in East Tamiki can make you a complete manifold. It is what they speacialise in and have done TD42's before as well as alot of other custom stuff. You will pay for what you get though and I'm pretty sure you'll be booked in as they are pretty busy always. 09 2733 947 and ask for Kerry.
Quite a few guys that are competing in winch comps have had work done by them.

Can you measure it?
T3 has 10mm studs on a 86x44mm rectangle.
T2/T25/T28 has 8mm studs on a 73x40mm rectangle.

Have decided to go with a custom hi flow manifold. Geting performance metal works to make one for me. Was going to get a factory TD42 turbo manifold from nissan but they wonted $1250  Can get a much better product for around the same money from PMW. Thanks Warren!

Cool I asked this question in another thread weather the DSR 480 would suit a safari. So the 430 will be more responsive and not under powered? I have had a 430 in the car for a year now and am very happy with it. Although can't say I was happy with the manifold. :(

Yeah seems to be a lot of people registering just to promote their product :(

It's good in the fact I would never know about these products otherwise, but a little rude to just advertise without so much of an introduction

Yep especially when the retailers on site make contributions (they do dont they? ) to ORE.

Its a bit rude, how would they like their shop windows filled with competitors adverts.

Not too sure about how Mike feels about advertising on here, but even a simple introduction on who you are, your involvement in the 4wd scene etc would be good.
Turbo's for the Safari's is a common topic at the moment, and info/ recommendations are good, but I personally would like to see people introduce themselves first, so don't take it the wrong way.

Right, back on topic. Anyone on here use these manifolds?

They look like Aaron Smythe's, so presumably they wouldn't be too different to the one on his comp truck.
