are the 3.2 v6 petrol bighorns any good,
looking at buying one, looks sound but are there any things to look out for?
i realize that theyre gonna be a thirsty thing too, any one know the mpg?
3.2 petrol
Re: 3.2 petrol
i use around 14l out of town driving like a nana, or up to about 20l towing chucky (per 100km)
toymota thats stock standard.
Re: 3.2 petrol
That's a helluva lot of petrol $$$ Fish - would it not be better to get a diesel 2.8 or 3.1 - much more economical to run. The 2.8s will give round 8.5L per 100km with a light foot, and the 3.1s about 10L per 100ks. 2.8T definitely the best of the motors by a long way. Have heard the 3.2 petrol is derived from honda legend motor and can give occasional head cracking - don't know how bad. Certainly has plenty of get up and go, but 14-20L per 100ks will put you quickly on very good terms with several oil sheiks....hope you've got a big chequebook..
Re: 3.2 petrol
true true, on the other hand,
ive spent thousonds on my 2.8 deisel just to keep it going and now its poked.
thats the reason im looking for a new one. i figure that if i pay an extra 25 30 bucks avrage a week on gas.... im laughing.
because thats what my last hunk of !@$# cost on upkeep any way. plus its a great wagon and its got a lot of grunt

Re: 3.2 petrol
Did you go ahead with the purchase of the 94?
I've added a 3.1 LWB to my Isuzu family, and it's been great so far, big step up from the 89 model in comfort, hence why I'm not allowed to do mods to this one
Even my WOF guy said to my wife that its a really tidy one, don't let Alex near it
I should do a MPG/LPKm test on this new one, I know I was getting great economy out of the 2.8, and I must have been lucky, I have spent 0 $ on the engine in the 2.8, actually, other than front suspension bushes, and normal wear and tear stuff (wheel brg, brake pads, oil change, strg idler, and drag link) I haven't had huge bills.
Hell it's 19yrs old, teenagers are always gonna give you trouble
