Lemme guess

Step 1. Hit the internet and break out the credit card.
Step 2. Fit lockrights to both diffs
Step 3. Get frustrated when your 40 still doesn't go as well as a Zuk :x
Step 4. Buy a Suzuki... :D

lol.

You getting two, or just one to start with? Will make an awesome difference in your truck, especially if you do both.

with the 36" simexes i have pretty good ground clearance, havent measured it :? but its pretty good :D . and as for how much the lockers were, follow that link wjw put up  i think it cost me all up about 1k for the 2 lockers air freighted and GST on top when it hit customs :(

not bad really and easy to fit,...front is a pain arse as the whole diff head has to come out which means the axles have to be pulled  grease everywhere  but all in all i think about 3hrs total for the front and when i do the back it will probably take about 1hr as only the cover has to come off really....

Was meaning to ask you that actually... How much clearance do you have under your diff?

Time to pull out the tape measure :)

with road wheels on it has 220mm clearance from the very bottom of the diff to ground.

will measure it again when the simexs are on(cant put them on in garage as not enough room

Should go very nicely afterwards. Where's the next run going to be?

And where's the clearance measurement we're all waiting for?

locker for the rear is sitting in auckland at costoms.have to ring them tomorrow to make sure they dont try to sting me GST again as i hasve all ready paid it.

as for the measurement, well yea i forgot to pop the big wheels on when it was being hosed and out of the garage so you will have to wait till i have it all back in one piece now  ....was too worried about the missuz seeing the horrible mess i was making :o ... im guessing it will be about 13 inches..or there abouts somewhere...at a guess :?:

next run is going to be the mud drags with any luck  ..maybe we plan a bush run in may(if something sooner then im keen), im pretty tied up with going on holliday with the family for a week early - mid april :D & then going hunting for another week last week of april :D ...ohhh im soooo looking forward to it :D

Once the missus has had bubs and our club trial series is out of the way I will take a group through our little play area out south auckland. Be good as it should of moistened up quite a bit by May, and should be quite a test for all these vehicles that need lockers to go everywhere

Rear diff of a WD61 Terrano/Pathfinder/Navara and the front diff of a Y60 GQ Patrol/Safari, and i think, the rear diff of a MK/MQ Patrol (they fit the front of a GQ with minor mods, so i think they fit)

ok,

had the tape measure on it with the 36's

no where near the 13" i thought it was

measurement from lowest point on the bottom of the diff to the ground is...

11.5" or 290mm which ever you prefer

and out of intrest i measured the width with the big wheels on as well :D that comes out at 1850mm wide

so there ya go

the zook with 32"tyres probably has more clearance with the leggo diffs they have

Damn, 290mm!!

Thats almost as much as my Suzuki... :D

Just trial fitted my 32 inch Simex's the other day and measured 300mm under my not quite standard diffs.

Cant wait to get out and dig some ruts for you to get stuck in :) I'll just have to sneak into your garage and narrow your diffs 200mm so you actually fall into them.
