Got them on the Bighorn and love them. Its 100km to the town and they wear well handle well (although they dont like wet paint lines  ). I have found that they are well suited to what I do off road, I only wish they came in a 32 or 33

please disregard what lil piggy has posted.

its old and an american tyre that they recalled and is not the same as the NZ ATX that is still made in Chch.

Everyone I've spoken to who has them, think they are the best thing since sliced bread and alot of people wish thet did come in bigger sizes.

Go ahead and buy some, you won't be dissapointed.

They are a good tyre, as you say though they only go up to 31's, Ive found them to be slippry on the wet road but in the mud at low pressure they went awsome I worked for firestone for a few years and got good reports back for customers bout them, hope this helps

I ran them and got just over 100,000 km mainly sealed and unsealed road use out of them on my 92 Terrano replaced them with Firestone Destinations. The Destinations didn't even manage half that mileage. I didn't have any problems in the wet with them from memory I used to run them at about 36psi same pressure front and rear.

I have ATX23's on the old 73 Rangie, and don't have any problem on the Rimutaka hill in the wet unless I'm really pushing the limits, when the front goes wide, but it did that on the original Michelins and the BFG M/T's, so I think the RR just does that.... Painted lines don't seem to worry them.

Seem to be about as good in mud as the BFGs ( I still get stuck dammit) & they climb most hills no worries.

I won't get 80,000km tho - are you guys talking about the A/T version?

yes, mine on the terrano were the A/T version. They didnt perform too badly crossing the odd farmers paddock and some of those were a little slushy. As stated in the my other post I replaced them with Destinations, a more road orientated 80/20 tyre and I expect a little less road noise but the Destinations were no quieter and didnt perform any better on the roads but as expected were a hell of a lot worse off road.
