I just converted my Hilux to a standard style as I had had problems with my V8 commodore radiator.
Matt.
Hi Matt.
The dealer (Silvester Car Parts) who sold me the radiator(s) told me they shouldn't have to much sideways pressure on them. They should be firm not tight. And how mine is installed is tight. (which I agreed) He also suggested to clamp it from the top center down so if it was to roll (

) it would stay in place. So they've replaced the last 2 for free. But the fourth one I'll have to cough up.
The fabricator I use thought the alloy used to make them was thin and the welds not great. He's not surprised I'm on my fourth one.
If I got "A1 Radiators" to make a custom built one they quoted me $800

The ones from Silvester's were half that. But it's the old story I guess. You get what you pay for.
Atleast this time the leaks are at the top of the radiator not the bottom.
