just had my rear cross member replaced and strengthen for stronger recovery point and the new bumper was all custom made by Steve Willis.the bumper is high tensile steel and just bolts onto the new cross member ,thanks Steve i know it made you a bit jelly working on a real truck not like those toy motors(toyota's) you like so much.:)

Looks great.
What gauge is the sheet metal?
How's it connected to the chassis? Custom rear crossmember? Got any pics of this with the bumper off?
Need to make a new rear bumper for the Disco and am looking for ideas.
1992 Land Rover Discovery V8i, 5 speed, 12000lbs winch, Salisbury rear, 110 front, 65mm spring lift, dents in every panel, Rallywoods pinstriping.

yes it has a complete new cross member,the standard one is not strong enough for a heavy recovery point .The bumper just bolts onto the new cross member. bumper steel is equivalent to 16mm plate steel.will ask Steve on the name of that ,some kind of high tensile steel.
