Hope there's a good turn out. I've a couple of mates doing that Peter Brock run on that day. If I wasn't doing the mud plug I'd be joining them with bells on.

Yeah PR. I'll probably roll it. But I can't do as much damage with no doors n roof on the thing.

And what better people to have working on your truck if I do, I say. If they're rubbing their hands together, it'll be money well spent. Not like the first place I orginally had the repower done. Fark! That was shocking.

Roll on next Sunday! Yeeeehaaaa! :D

You just turn up. Clearly signposted into Sheffield, farm gate on left just before township right opposite turnoff to Oxford/Waimak gorge. I think it would be about $2 from memory.
Been away to Kopara for the weekend, have some small repairs to do for mudplug, but all weekend we spent plugging mud. Those silverstones are going to be churning.

Did you partake in the hospitality of Jan and Fitzy at the Kopara village? one of my favourite places, great people, great black powder, and no cell phones, brilliant place.

Does anyone know the extended weather GUESS for the weekend? totally inspired move to hold this on fathers day  I hope to be there with the family, no video this year, hopefully some good stills though

You got it. Great place for a pissup. And there is some great swappy/muddy 4wheeling around there. I reckon there would be a good 5-10 years worth of exploring in there. And I broke my first safari CV there as well.

$5 is pretty good. I'd be happy to pay $10 or more - it's a great days entertainment, and the kids love it. See you guys out there on Sunday, as a spectatator. I'll try and get some good video also.

Sweet as.
My 40 is at A1 radiator's getting a new radiator fabricated. With any luck that will be finished tomorrow. Then it's off to Ricks to have the onboard air compressor tank installed so i can use the lockers. Thursday or Friday i hope to get it round to Kev's for a last minute tune on the dyno. Then after that it should be ready. Fingers crossed.

I came second to last last year.
I feel sorry for the person that came last coz you'd have to be pretty damn bad to do worse than me.

I'm hoping to beat that this time. If I do third to last I'll be stoked!! :D

i got second last in the other class (modifieds) so if i get third last then i will be wraped. i will be better prepared this time and im all set. also im getting the new tyres fitted in the morning. the truck has a few more dents and scratches now but looks good.

i spoke to nev two days ago and he said that the swamp area is still underwater so the course is being set-up further back on the farm this year. looks like you may miss out on the dreaded hill PETE so its a new course for all this time. i cant wait and only 3 sleeps to go. :D :D :D

How long have you owned a four wheel drive PR?
I've been into them for about two years. Done about 3 or 4 off road trips and one Sheffield event. So are we even?
You should beat me easy you plonka.
I'm going there for a bit of fun and HOPE not to roll and do better than second to last in the open class. :D
But if by a miracle I beat ya? I'll be the one pissing myself laughing.

Anyone headed over from the west coast?
I'd like to come have a look, I'm not bringing my rangie (it hates mud) so if anyone wants a hitch-hiker, let me know. :)
