I think you're telling porkies..theres only
starter motor relay
sta feed to ecu
fuel pump and fan controller relay
batt feed
main relay
efi relay
87 wires my ass
My 2 cents worth...
oh heres mine and I wired it
the original lexus/soarer/crown loom has 87 wires and it sounds like jerrys has the original loom just grafted in so it might need a bit of culling out to get down to what you have
FJ40,INJECTED SB 406 CHEV, LOCKER,35 SIMEXS,warn winch , 80seies vx 4.2 24v turbo diesel ,fr and rear lockers 3" exh top mount intercooler, 021 724482

Well if it's had a splice job and the dorks didn't know what they were doing then you in for a shyt fight to sort it out..for the hassle just pull it off and get a links and base map then dyno it..it'll save you endless hours of tracing wires that just either go no where or go to the wrong place..(you'll probably fry the ecu anyway due to this..)OR get a full loom and use that..but they are as scarce as rocking horse shyt too...only way I see it getting done right is if you have a mate with one going and strip his loom off and copy all the sensor wires accordingly..best of luck.you're gonna need it..btw there is average of 120 wires..

Re: Show us your Toyota
Here is my bush pig, and not unlike the other bush pig in this thread its insides are blood red....
crazy japs, what were they thinking??? my only hope is to cover the interior with mud.
Supra 2JZGE and V6 auto. 4inch suspension lift with them drop box IFS thingys. landcruiser rear shocks, pajero rears on the front. 33inch KL71's on landcruiser offset rims....

truck owed me $1000 before i put them tyres on it.
already broken one front diff. but it was a weak 4.5 ratio with a 4.3 on the rear so was a bit stressed.
4.875's are on their way..

Re: Show us your Toyota
My brother just got his 40 on the road again after getting it certed (after the repower). He's still waiting for the badge and the WOF to go on. That'll take a couple of weeks. But he can't wait that long. So on Saturday we threw on the hard top (just in time for the rain) and he hasn't stopped driving it since.
His cruiser is running the small block 305 Chev motor naturally aspirated. It's a fresh motor. Kevin Geary's tunned it on his dyno. The boys at 4X4 Accessories recons it doesn't sound like a V8, till you put your foot up it.
But it feels better on the road than mine. It's in a word, tighter. Doesn't look like much. But this is the cruiser than inspired me to get one. After all the things I've done to mine, I still think his drives better, slower, but still better.

True.
Re: Show us your Toyota
the old 40s are a little bit wandery on the road with 35 mudders, going down to 33s on the road makes a big difference (less sidewall flex i guess )

To be honest. In stock form the way they were when we brought them, I'd agree with you. But now, I prefer the 35's to the 33's any day. Both my brother and I run them. The only time mine gets a little wandery is when it gets over 160k. But under that it's sweet as. Both our trucks have had new shackle bushes and shocks. That made a big difference. And running the 35's at 100k brings the revs down 500rpm which is another big difference. Though my brothers is a 4 speed where mine is a 5.

Put some air in them
NO one remembers who comes 2nd....!
Re: Show us your Toyota
Even from new?
You're welcome to drive mine. Mine doesn't wander fark all. On the open road I'm doing 100k round the 65 70k corners no problems. With the shocks adjusted to max firm it's sweet as!

The front is sprung, the rear diff is just sitting there. I had to move the springs out 75mm to match up to the original spring mounts on the diff, I can't keep the springs where they are because the difflock mechanism gets in the way. Moving the springs out will be better for stability too.

When we came back about an hour and a half later the truck went 20m from where I left it and the gearbox gave up completely (no surprise) then 15 minutes tow down the road resulted in this:
