I'm an Aucklander doing the big move in the first week of May down to the West Coast to go work on a new mine shaft just out of Blackball.
I used to have an old fj40 which was great out on Muriwai, Piha and bumbling around in the forest but when I move I want to get something a bit more substantial - Ideally one of those stonking supra powered hilux surfs - something that will handle hard club runs and possibly a little more.
Budget wise I'm pretty much open minded (depends how much change I have when I come back from Thailand) but I am only interested in Toyotas later than 1980 and they have to be road legal.. call me stubborn if you like but I have owned post 1980 Toyotas all my life.... I'm just a Toyota guy.
I would happily buy any of the following
Supra powered hilux or surf (pref double cab hilux so I can rip the wellside off)
Lexus powered hilux or surf
2.4 turbo diesel hilux or surf provided its got turbo timer and 3" exhaust pref with a recent engine rebuild
2.8 or 3.0 turbo diesel hilux or surf
Turbo diesel landcruiser prado
If anyone has anything that fits the bill it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know - as of Saturday I will be in South East Asia until I start on the mine in May which is when I will need to buy the truck..
Oh yes and I have a 1992 Toyota Camry CSX station wagon 260KM in good cond if anyone wants it as a part trade on the truck... I'm also a registered spark so I can rewire your house/car/boat as part trade also if it's better for you than a wad of bills. (like I said I'm pretty flexible on this
).
