Garage talk. Anything from mounting a winch to water proofing the electrics.

Replacement Demister - Options??

Post by lilpigzuk »

Has anyone ripped out there bulky factory fitted demister/blower unit and replaced with just a small fan/heater motor and ducting?? Space will be at a premium in my Zuk and since it will be used purely for off roading (Road legal though) I can do with out the creature comforts of blowing warm or cool air on me or my feet etc.
Im guessing rally cars must replace their bulky units with something, Im just unsure what. Do really need something as the windscreen usually mists up after going through mudholes etc....
Not sure whether you have to have a demister in for any wof reasons?? I think you do overseas??

rally cars use the thin tracks like you see on the back of most cars , i think you can still buy the kits to install them from repco of supercheap
