Me, Wayne and his brother are coming. We will have the 4WD plus a support car just in case goldie decides she doesn't want to come back easily :)

What do we need to bring? Food, beer and money I'm guessing.

It's $20.00 per vehicle, no limit to passengers. Make sure you fuel up at last available gas station, and you would want to bring your lunch etc.

i spoke with wisard2 about this yest and we may very well split into two groups.... :)

you need three groups,
hard,
harder,

and then a single guy in the last group, which we will call the 'driving god tiki tour'

hes been there before, so just tell him to go play with himself

Skid, Skid, Skid, for someone who very rarely participates in any trips, you sure do have a lot of sarcasm and negative remarks. Perhaps if these were channeled in the right way, you would have more fun and less critics?? :(

I'll patiently wait until after sunday Ryan, when you've spent a whole day with the driving god, and then you may want to post your own critiscism etc etc

done plenty of trips in my lifetime

current situation does not allow me to participate much these days, but at least most of the time theres a great crew of fullas to hang with locally, and some from other towns

You guys enjoy yourselves this weekend

No offence intended Skid, but I did spend 3 days with Mitch at QBW. And as far as criticism goes, I would much sooner post constructive criticism, than the sarcastic variety.

Why don't you come up with one of the other guys for the day, you have already been offered the seat, and it wont cost you a cent apart from your lunch, as if you took up the invite with Euan, I would chuck in for fuel for Euan's truck on your behalf.

A lot of the guys are coming up to my place on Saturday arvo for a BBQ & pissup Saturday night, and staying over. Then we are heading off to Costa Plenty earlyish Sunday morning and meeting up with the guys coming up on the Sunday, on the way out there and then all proceeding there together.

If you are coming up on the Sunday, PM badnuz as him & DBW Racing are organising the meeting places & times for the Sunday morning.

I have only been getting everything organised down this end to get as many people going as possible Nick, and to help people find their way here and make a weekend of it with BBQ etc, and because it's easier for me to do it from down here than for you way up there. But it's still your trip, so it's entirely up to you as to how you want to run it and if you want to lead. If you wish me to carry on I will be happy to. Cheers.

LATEST UPDATE.

I will supply the Sunday morning breakfast to all those staying over Saturday night, which will consist of bacon & eggs & toast, plus tea/coffee/milo or whatever turns you on. So don't worry about bringing your Sunday breakfast. But don't forget to bring a cut lunch/drinks/snacks for Sunday (everyone).

I have also invited a couple of good friends of mine to the BBQ on Saturday night. Some of you will have met them before, those that haven't will get the chance to meet and chat with them. Goldie and Sue (who own Costa Plenty) will be coming. Goldie as many of you will already know, owns the winch challenge truck (Nissan Safari) known far & wide as SHREK, and does a lot of the winch challenges, and also some of the 24 hour tough truck challenges.

Don't forget to you Welly guys coming on Saturday, to bring some sort of sleeping arrangements i.e. sleeping bag/ mattress, as the limited bedding available is already accounted for by the Naki crew.

The directions posted by Jerry are easy to follow, but in case any stragglers get bloody lost, my home number is; 06 3764991 (I don't have cell coverage at my house).

We will be meeting up with the Sunday crew at a designated point on the way to Costa Plenty on Sunday morning. Badnuz and myself have discussed this. Again, any Sunday stragglers coming via the Wairarapa, can wait by the Pongroa turn off just north of Pahiatua, between 8.00 & 8.15 AM Sunday, and Euan and crew will pick you's up from there on their way through. I think the rest of the Palmy/Manakau guys are meeting at the Caltex in Woodville at 8.00 AM. Anyone not sure of anything re meeting times/places/directions, PM either me or Badnuz, or give me a ring on my landline. The final meeting place for both crews on Sunday morning is the corner of Pahiatua/Pongaroa Rd and Millers Rd at Ngaturi. We don't want anyone proceeding past that point as we will have a brief stop while we wait for everyone and a quick briefing there, before proceeding onto Costa Plenty.

And Please make sure your vehicle has rated recovery hooks front & rear, as these will be checked for.
