Greetings all again, abit of intrest was shown in my ashley river trip for another trip in canterbury and worselys was mentioned so if anyone is keen to go up worsleys next sautrday (27th of september) id be happy to join in, as i did not finish it last time i went... umm i think a minimum of 31" wheels is needed for this, which is what i have and im pretty low to the ground if not scrapping in a few places, but sitll get around only because im in a toyota 3L not a crappy 2.4 hah

Haha to be honest I would be cautious going up there on anything less than 33" but hey by all means i will be happy to help a few of you guys attempt it, but i would only recomment trying in the DRY as that way you can choose your line alot easier. Otherwise i will guarantee that you will sustain some (read... alot) of pannel damage.
hah im like king of truck damage haha, yeah i attempted it in dry conditions was alot of fun, attempted meaning i had ot turn around due to a person struggling, was gonig well though definately a track for picking your route rather than giving it gas and hoping you dont break something... i cant do sunday though as i have a early birthday and my parents organised a birthday lunch.......................

I walked up there about two weeks ago not long after the 2nd lot of rain. Wishing I had taken a shovel to divert the streams down the track but managed a bit of diversion with my boots.
MASSIVE ruts now so I am not sure many will want to go too far. With 5 foot deep cross-axleing ruts I reckon this is getting near the rock krawlin boys domain unless we organise a working bee to improve the track.
I noticed a lot of new tracks forming in the grass and would like to say "Keep to the original track please" as these new tracks will definitely piss the natives off.
This track, like others, is being looked at with a view to possible change of use I believe. Therefore more new tracks formed on the left side going up or on the RHS driving thru the fenceline will not be viewed favourably.
The area is getting developed within the next five years, and word has it the track will be closed in two so they can log the pine and then develope the land for houses. You scared of a couple of ruts Johnno Al

I popped up their very recently [ during the week ]with 3 passengers just for a bit of a look,no problems what so ever,we really enjoyed this little track so we went up a couple of times...didn't think it was that hard though, but would say it would be very, very slippery in the wet ,,you all have a good day,if i lived in CH CH i would tag along just to get some photo's ....PS i have been their when there was a Surf upside down

Love to help you Shane! Yes I do owe you a ride, however whilst we still have good snow I shall be on that instead. 80mph on some Kingswood skis made locally of Bamboo always gets my kicks!
i could be there, went up the ashley today for a play then went to see the power boats at the waimak and very nearly rolled the cruiser i was being sensible of course
if it carries on raining like this seeing as there is some smaller trucks coming we will delay this trip till a later date... but if thats the case i will be having a look at the waimak
