Wanted South Island: Offroad Hack.

Prefer 6 stud so I can interchange wheels with the safari but anything considered really. Don't care about dents, WOF or Rego. Would prefer something with at least a windsheild but if the price is right can go without and an a frame or roll cage would be a good bonus

Prefer South Island but if you can get it to the docks in Wellington or Auckland would consider.

Looking at spending up to $2000 but could possssssssssibly go as high as $3000.

Price is getting up there to but I know I'll probably end up impulse buying something over budget anyway. Are you on the hunt for a 40? There was a roughish looking black one and a mint yellow one for sale up north from the same lister that looked alright. You've probably already seen them but I'll try find the links.

Atleast you already know the cure How do those 350 chevs stack up against the 4l falcon motors and rb30's etc?

Nabbed that green BJ40 today. Tis my birthday tomorrow so I justified it as being a gift. Needs a bit of work to get her running but should teach me a thing or two. Once the motors sorted (needs starter fixed and a general service) will get an A-frame made up (anyone here able to do a deal for one?) and put a decent snorkle on as I wouldn't trust the one thats on there now hen probably try get a winch if I can find a good deal. Then I want to lift it high enough fo 33's or cut some stuff away. After that its a decent roll cage then we will see what happens from there.

Had a look at that one last weekend to. Bit to much work needed on it for what I'm capable of but could be a weapon. Very rusty body but its only surface on the chassis. Engine wasen't running at all the earths were disconnected but he siad he had taken it for a blat 6 months ago. Very straight up guy. Basicly wants what he paid for it which was $600. Also has a 4.1L falcon with a rooted trans that he would part with for the right amount.
