Need to borrow for weekend....CHCH only

Post by albundy »

Anyone got a spare 5stud 16" rim with a 235/60R16 tyre on it. My new boss wants to see the sites of Canterbury this weekend but some tosser stole the spare of her Rav4. She has put in an insurance claim but it is taking a while. She asked if I could help her out. If anyone could assist I would appreciate it as it will score me heaps of brownie points.... I will take full responsibility for it as well.

Jas, needs to be 5 stud. Thanks though. How do these metric tyre sizes work, ie 235/60. Inches is so much easier to work with. Is the 235 the width of the tyre?

235 = width in inches 9.25"
60 = height of the sidewall i.e. percent of width (235 * .6 = 5.55")

2 x sidewall (5.55 * 2) + rim size (16") = tyre size in inches 27.1!!!

Not all 5 stud wheels are the same, you need to look at the stud and back spacing.
