Jeep ... A beast of a truck! Great 4wd for offroad use!

This is the perfect 4x4 for someone who likes to play in the outdoors, wants a off road club truck, or just wants a beast that will turn heads where ever you go.

* Amc 304 c.i. V8 (factory jeep engine from cj7)
* Wof and Rego till dec 2008
* Certified for modifications
* Power steering added
* Spring over axle conversion
* 2 inch body lift
* 36 inch super swampers
* Detroit ez locker in rear
* 4 wheel disc brakes
* MR2 bucket seats
* Roll bar in Tray
* Removable hard top
* 4 speed gear box
* Custom made bull bars and front guard protection

This truck looks awsome on its huge tyres and massive lift, the roar of the V8 makes the truck sound as good as it looks. The addition of power steering makes this truck fun and easy to drive!
Previous owner rebulit engine less than 10 000 kms ago. Winch avalible for additional purchase, and will sell for less without large tyres.

A HUGE amount of time and money has gone into this truck, needs a few things finishing off. Needs: a hand brake cable (broken one supplied), headlights switch hooking up, front drive shaft installing (supplied), detroit locker very noisey while driving on road (standard diff gears supplied) , transfer case 4wd shifter adjusting (a bit stiff).

Heaps of power from engine:

AMC 304 V8
Bore x Stroke 3.75" x 3.44"
Displacement 304(4.98L)
Compression Ratio 8.4:1
Horsepower (gross) 210@4400
Torque (gross) 300@2600
Main Bearings 5
Valve Configuration OHV
Fuel 2bbl

Body is straight and in good condition. Paint is average, but its a 4wd Larger radiator and electric fan work well, never had over heating problems.

You had me very very interested, till I got to the part about chassis being shortened. Done professionaly or not, to me its not a CJ8 anymore after that.

Good luck with the auction.

i had a look on the cert plate, and its not the chasis that has been shortened, just 25 cm off the rear tray. this is to give it a much beter departure angle when off roading.

I can't get the TM link to work. How much are you wanting for it?

Disregard, I found your other post. the link works on that one.

Oh so kool :D

What you rekon it would need for WOF??

Head switch and what else................

The rims and tyres alone would be worth in the $2000 mark :mrgreen:

So to sell with out those would be around the $4500 mark????

Yeah, but it expires in a month or so, what i wanna know is whether its in largly the same state it was when it got its last WOF, or if its been played with since and there is stuff that needs doing for its next one (excluding mechanical wear and tear i.e steering and suspension etc etc)

i have only driven it on the weekends, and only about 25 kms total, all on road since the wof, i would have thought it would be all good for next wof. altho the hand brake cable snapped when my bro moved it (thanks icekayak :P) and the head light switch stoped going. wof = dec 14

Okay, that more sensible. In that case, to confirm it in my mind its the tub that has been shortened in the back. How does it now still sit on the frame properly? This is promising.

i didnt do the shortening, but as i understand it, it was only the overhang that was chopped. if you look at the photo taken from the rear you can see the red and white body mounts. does that answer your question?

Is this one of the batch that Hornsby Earthmoving / Atlas Concrete imported new from the Philippines (or somewhere like that) as factory RHD?

I am sure there was a bunch of light brown ones on the North Shore with number plates all starting with "NN"

Nice ride :D

It was factory RHD in a few other countries as well. In fact, I know some of them even came with factory diesel (of all the things).
