The weekend was a blast the people we picked up had so much energy and they all seemed so happy with life even though we were late due to no fault of our own. The 3 that were in with me came up to me at the end and said they had a great time but were sorry about my engine, just told them its all good just gives me an excuse to put a bigger one in :P . I must admit to having to remind myself to keep the language clean. One thing that mad me laugh though, was i broke down on the way back to the green hut after drowning my engine with 3 of the group in the back. Sadam (marty) came out to tow me back. Pulled up got out of his truck munching on a large burger, heard my rattly engine and said is that petrol or diesel? I replyed petrol. And in a way only sadam could say it he said " WELL THATS FUCKED THEN "  . Thanks to Reece for all the effort you put it i,m sure you was rewarded by all the smiles on there faces

As I have come to expect with the ORE crew, a top weekend again. Thanks Reese for the great organisation, thanks Curly for the great feeds, and thanks to everyone else there for a great, fun-filled weekend.
Glad the kids all had a good time and thanks to their crew for the great vegetarian BBQ at lunchtime, never knew there was such a thing. Looking forward to the next one.

Hello all.

I'm back here in Canty again.

Want to say a big thank-you to every one who participated. I really appreciated spending the day with you all and seeing your playground, and the young folk had a real blast. Here are a few of their comments:

"4w Driving was AWESOME"
"The 4wd experience was fantastic, thank you so much."
"So comfortable I went to sleep" (and he did too! but really loved the day)
What did you like most?: "The dangerous parts"
"The whole trip was really great! Loved the scenery and the fun of the extremeness of the driving!"
"It was very well organised and fun, safety conscious but at the same time quite hair raising and crazy."
I liked "Being with someone who takes on a challenge"

Who's truck did you like the most and why?
"Skids, Crazy stuff"
"The Big 'Taz01'"
"Taz01 was fun he drove wee bit crazier but also the big blue [cruiser] he was really talkitive."
"The Red old hilux (i think) with the V8" (you just got down graded sorry sadaam  )
"The blue one cause it was mint"
"DBW. He made the trip a lot of fun but was a great driver and really knew what he was doing"
"SKIDS - it was really crazy trip for a first timer with him bit it was great. I didn't have time to get afraid!"
"Nicks truck cos it was just awesum."
"Blue landcruiser - Why? looks the part."
"Nicks truck cause he's crazy"
"Nicks lexus V8. It sounded awesome and he wasn't afraid to drive fast"

Areas that need improving?
"Putting "Joel" (mud thrower) in the mud hole.

Seemed they all had a bias toward the drivers they were with which shows that you all put a good effort in.

Will forward the more detailed responses to Reece to look over.

Thanks again Reece and Jerry and all for your efforts, although we ran out of time the young ones would still have wanted more even if it was two days solid. They all left with positive memories of 4x4ing as a sport!

Well you had the 'love bugs' in the back there for a while. Both are south africans and around 20. I was impressed how they conducted their relationship the whole time while they were around every one else. We discourage intense relationships at the camps due to obvious reasons but they have been steady for about a year now and were very appropriate.

The third one you had at that stage is a bit of a hard case, She comes from a very practical farming background and enjoyed the day immensely.

In fact i didn't hear any comments from any one that didn't enjoy the day over all, and the few who stayed back at base because they were 'sick' I think were disappointed they didn't come.

Thanks Nizsafari - you did a sterling job with the energetic crew you had there but it sounds like you fitted right in. "He even threw mud at US!!" You should have heard Jemima telling her mum about it all when she saw her later in the day!!

Poor Joel realised he had left his charger in your vehicle about 15 mins down the road out. It stressed him until the following morning. (he didn't have either of his two cell phones with him on the day so why the charger was needed is a mystery). I'll PM you an address to mail it to and I know he will be able to live much easier with his 'babies' having some power in them - Happy to reimburse the post cost.
