Which winch?

Post by DaveM »

Getting a winch for the Safari, but will be starting with a cheaper one, due to the limited use it will get.

Which would you recommend between the following?
Runva 9500lb "fast" winch
Runva 12000lb
2nd hand Superwinch X9

Cheers,
Dave

You can't get better than a Safari PTO Winch - strong, reliable, fast, simple!

X9 is much slower and has "in the drum" brakes. E9 is the faster and more synthetic rope friendly brake system.

PS: Bad attempt at keeping that auction low key.........

But the 2nd hand X9 would still beat the Runva option hands down in reliability and build quality stakes, who cares if its slow, its gonna work when ya want it to!!!!!!!

Theres a buynow on the auction and the start price is only $50 off the buynow, why keep it low key, its not like there will be a bidding war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You haven't seen some of the stupid bidder behaviour. BTW, its off to a fixed offer now!

Agree, Superwinch at the price is definitely a much much better option.
